Step 3: Grab your tea light candles

The burners are heated up with a mini candle called a tealight candle, you can purchase these from all well-known shops.

Only use the 4-hour burn time tea lights for safety reasons.

💡 Quick Tip

To get the most scent throw out of your wax melts, use two burners in 1 room if you have bigger than-average rooms.

Pros:

  • Cost-effective - A single candle can cost over £20, but from Pongy melts only cost £3.49 each which means you can get more strong scents for the same price!
  • User Friendly- They are super easy to use and require little maintenance, simply set and forget until the scent has burned off.
  • Supportive: They provide adequate support and are gentle on the body, which is particularly beneficial in restorative poses or when used under the hands, feet, or spine.
  • Stronger than candles - They are specifically made for strong scent throw, unlike candles which are mainly used for burn time.

Cons:

  • Addictive - Wax melts can turn into a hobby with so many different scents to try, we did warn you!
  • Aesthetics -  They don't look as pretty compared to a candle sitting burning away on the side table.
  • Could be messy -  This is nothing to be worried about but if you do spill your wax melt burner over it could be a lot of cleaning.
